Susan J. Cherner, Esq.

Susan Cherner has been practicing family law in Media for close to 40 years. Her practice includes divorce, alimony, equitable distribution and property settlements, child custody and child support, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and various post-divorce matters. She has extensive courtroom experience, but she has a particular interest in finding creative solutions to help divorcing parties successfully navigate their differences and negotiate equitable settlements. 

Susan is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Delaware County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. She is a former Chairperson of the Delaware County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and has been a recipient of the Section’s Eric Turner Award. She has served as a judge pro tem in the Delaware County Family Law Division and has been a panelist and presenter of family law programs. For many years, she has been part of a group of lawyers and psychologists who have focused on numerous aspects of family law from a cross-disciplinary perspective. She has been a Top Lawyer in Main Line Today, and she has been named a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” by Philadelphia Magazine every year since 2007. She has an AV rating, the highest rating awarded by The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating System. Susan is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and Villanova University School of Law.
